  1. nope its not worth it plus i think of a gma ethat i can't play on my $641 hp dv-1125nr laptop.

  2. You could buy a car for that kind of money, and I don't really understand why it costs that much; you can play most games on laptops that cost 1/5 that.

  3. Personnel for gaming a PC is better

    better hardware

    Airflow

    Overclock capabilities

  4. Hell no that is a rip off to the max. You'd be better off buying from retail sites anyway with reliable prices and country wide store locations. I.E. Best Buy.

  5. it's not worth it, you can find something that can handle crysis at almost max specs for 2000 i'm sure, i mean i can handle it halfway and i've had my laptop for a few years now.

if i were you i'd just build a computer for now, 1200 dollars can get you a monster PC.

with another 1000, you can get a great laptop for gaming as well, just don't expect it to run the best of games at top-notch.

  6. It's quite fancy, but use caution when considering a laptop, especially for something like gaming. Intense use causes heating which is the death to micro electronics. And heaven knows, laptops are notorious for heating anyho.

  7. Not worth it. You can easily get a top of the line totally maxed out gaming laptop from Alienware for under $7,000.

Example setup (I maxed it myself on the website customizer)

    Alienware Area-51 m17x

    Dual 512MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 9800M GT – SLI Enabled

    17" WideUXGA 1920 x 1200 LCD (1200p) with Clearview Technology – Black

    Intel® Core™ 2 Extreme X9000 2.8GHz (6MB Cache 800MHz FSB)

    8GB Dual Channel DDR2 SO-DIMM at 667MHz – 2 x 4096MB

Windows Vista® Home Ultimate (64-bit Edition) with Service Pack 1

    Raid 0 1TB (500GB x 2) 5,400RPM (8MB Cache) HardDrive

    2x Dual Layer Blu-ray Disc Burner (BD-R, DVD±RW, CD-RW)

    Internal Intel® Wireless 4965 a/b/g/Draft-N Mini-Card

Internal High-Definition Audio with surround sound

==Total Cost: $5,549.00 (Not including any warranties or extra accessories)

I doubt you will need quite that much RAM, quite that powerful a processor, quite that fancy an optical drive (Dual Layer Blu-Ray? who even uses blu-ray yet?) nor quite that type of HardDrive (Raid 0 TYPE!?), but I just created to make a point that $7,700 is too much for that gaming laptop. You can make a VERY POWERFUL setup for around $4,000

  8. WHAT ???

Man that price is really insane, for that price you could buy 5 or 6 desktops of very hight quality.

I know a guy that have a Alienware computer laptop and he uses it for gaming and heavy computer animation and for sure he didn't pay $7,000.

  9. its a nice lap top, but there are plenty available that are also tops at gaming, and theyre available for around $3,000 cheaper, so i would definitely by-pass the DRX.
