Looking to buy a new Laptop for gaming?
I'm not a pro at computer talk and refrences, so if i'm off, please correct me! I would like a laptop thats good for gaming, and other stuff such as photos and music. I have been using Dell for years and i'm tired of their products. I bought the m140 from them last year from them and it's already a piece of junk physically. The hardrive is awesome, great speed and great memory. But i'm so unhappy with it and i'd rather just give it to a friend. I would like to treat myself to a nice one. I was thinking about going for a Toshiba laptop after seeing good reviews. What is a good laptop with atleast 120gb on hardrive with great speed. Preferably wireless compatible, and with good graphics to be a plus. Price range $1300 max. Vista Home Premium would be great too. Any suggestions? Thanks!

- Not vista trust me (i tink gamer girls are cool.)
- You can make a great desktop for under 1 grand on http://www.newegg.com/ and build the computer yourself. If you really need a laptop then I don't know what to say. There all to expensive to just buy or at least seem like a rip-off.
- Look at HP
- Look into Alien ware computers they are designed for gaming. They are expensive though. Good luck!
- Laptops are notorius for NOT being gaming machines. They don't come with the same processors, the same video and are hampered by difficulty in upgrading. If you absolutely must have a laptop, get a Dell XPS and don't go cheap. Max out the video, HD, and your RAM. If you don't you will only have a good gaming machine for about 6 months to a year.
- Some of the best gaming computers are made by Alienware, of course, but be ready to dish out more than 1300 dollars for a laptop. Also Dell has the XPS, now that is a nice laptop. just to let you know, Dell did purchase Alienware, so you will have a great product.
- u can go for acer work horse ferrari or sony vaio...u must get maximum of RAM ,most of the time u dont need a very large sized hard disk ,as there r rare chances of u using all the space.look for a laptop tht comes with separate graphics memory of atleast 128 mb. finally look for as much processing power u can get..these r 3 vital things to look for in a laptop if u r taking for gaming..but u can also use this for all other purposes..
i dnt have any idea abt any toshiba model with such configurations..
- For a true gaming laptop, your budget is too low. Toshiba is a great brand to get. Here's the link to the gaming laptop in your price range from Toshiba http://www.toshibadirect.com/td/b2c/nbsrch.jsp?stt=all&s=4294967002%204294966523&in_dim_srch=1
>>>You can choose to customize your laptop to get the features you want.
- For Gaming, I would go with either Alienware ($$$) or Asus (not Acer!). They both make some good laptops with decent graphics chipsets. Newer Toshiba models seem to have inferior hard drives that fail within the first year meaning you loose all your data! Also, you want to stay away from Vista if you want to ensure full compatiblity with your games and less headache!
