Build Your Own Gaming Notebook

Will this computer run secondlife well?

Well, as posted in an earlier question, I think that my graphics card is failing. Doing some research of my own, I discovered that getting the thing replaced will probably cost me just as much as buying a brand new laptop. Not as high quality as mine was when I got it (but the thing was a beast pricing out near $1500) So I'm looking to get a cheaper one for now just so I don't loose my business while in case the graphics card just goes kaput on me. So my question is, will this computer system be able to properly run SL for a handful of months until I can afford a more hi-tech laptop once more: Toshiba Black 15.6" Laptop Key Features and Benefits: AMD E-Series E-240 processor 1.5GHz, 512KB L2 Cache 3GB DDR3 SDRAM system memory (expandable to 8GB) Gives you the capability for multimedia videos and images, video conferencing, basic gaming and all the other simple duties 250GB SATA hard drive Store 166,000 photos, 71,000 songs or 131 hours of HD video and more SuperMulti DVD Burner Watch movies, and read and write CDs and DVDs in multiple formats 10/100 Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Connect to a broadband modem with wired Ethernet or wirelessly connect to a Wi-Fi signal or hotspot with the 802.11b/g/n connection built into your Toshiba notebook computer 15.6" widescreen TruBrite TFT display AMD Radeon HD 6310 Graphics with 384MB-1459MB dynamically allocated shared graphics memory

  1. Yes.

Secondlife isn't very taxing so you could definitely play it with this system.

  2. I'll be honest your processor isn't brilliant but that game isn't very taxing as the person above me said so it should be ok. Check their site for the minimum and recommended system requirement. I'd check myself but to frank I can't be fucked.
