Build Your Own Gaming Notebook

HP laptop!! Is it a good build for what I will be using it for?

I will be using this laptop for internet, college work, itunes and Sims 3 when it comes out. Maybe a couple of other games. I built it at hp.com and I was wondering if it is a good build for the things I need it for. I was considering adding more hard drive but if that is enough I'd like to stay with that since it is less evpensive. QUESTIONS: 1. Is it a good build for what I will be using it for? 2.Should I raise the hard drive to 320GB? 3. Is 5400rpm good enough or should I get a 7200rpm drive? 4. What would you change, if anything? 5. How many years warranty should I get? Is one okay or should I go for two? Remember I want what is good enough for what I'm using it for and I'd like to keep it low priced! 1. i got a HP laptop and it works great i have like 5 games on it lots of music and movies and it still runs smooth so what you plan on doing i say tht it looks fine and at a reasonable price! GO FOR IT!!!

    HOPE THIS HELPS

  2. 1. Yes

    2. It would be cheaper to buy an external hard drive with a large capacity. If you need to carry it around a lot, get a bigger built-in hard drive. If you don't need to carry it around too much, settle for the smaller hard drive and consider buying an external one.

    3. Each has pros and cons. 7200 rpm will open applications faster but also drain your battery faster and make your laptop hotter. 5400 rpm will be a little slower at opening programs but have better battery life and not overheat your laptop.

    4. Maybe a faster processor like 2.4 Ghz, but the one you have is fine.

    5. If the warranty is reasonably priced, go for it. Otherwise, skip it. This a judgment call.
