Build Your Own Gaming Notebook

What is a good gaming notebook for me?

I'm looking to spend around $1,000. I dont want to play amazing games like crysis, just some games like halo, need for speed, counter strike, and other fps (please no macs and I want a 17" screen if possible)

  1. Hands down, the Dell Vostro 1700. I have a Vostro 1500, with the geforce 8600 GT, and it chews through EVERYTHING. It's a business-class notebook, and their customer support was great when my hard drive died (probably my own fault...) Great price, great performance. I recommend the 9-cell battery... I get 4 hours of life, while gaming, with full screen brightness. Here's the link, choose the upgrades you want:

    Hope this helped!!!

  2. If you really want to game, get a desktop. It'll be better for you in the end. There are gaming magazines like Electronic Gaming that have decent gaming computers in them for pretty good price.

  3. Hp pavilion special edition is the one for you.Check out best Buy or Circuit City. This is a awesome notebook.you might be able to get a 17".Good luck.Cheer's
