Can imac notebooks be used for gaming?
I need to buy a labtop for college but I also want it to be used for gaming. Can Macbooks be used to play games a alienware could?

- only the macbook pro can, and even that can't compare in gaming to a maxed out PC laptop with 2x 8800m GTX video cards
- yes all new mac computers come with a thing called 'bootcamp' what it is an assistant that installs windows on your computer for you (be it xp or vista)
so yes it can be used for gaming
- They can be if they have good ram and video and all that kind of stuff and it also needs a cd rom hard drive so u can install things
good internet speed and good downloaders that is what a gaming computer needs but for apple i dont think they have ALL of the things i think those are just for work and boring stuff
unless you buy the software ware u can run the windows and mac i dont think u can have much luck.
- Macbooks are okay with average gaming but not serious gaming that involves pro graphics and stuff like that.
