I want to buy my fiance a gaming laptop for Christmas but I have read both good and bad reviews about most of the laptops I have looked at (Alienware, Batallion, and MSI). He plays World of Warcraft a lot, along with other role playing games. He wants to be able to play the new Diablo (if it ever comes out). I am looking to stay under $2000 preferably around $1500. Looking for at least a 17", with a lot of space and a really nice processor.
its all about the alien ware PCs! xD lol
and no you cant go wrong with these PCs, your fiance will love it guaranteed.

If you want to spend more like $2000, then a Sager NP7280 http://www.sagernotebook.com/index.php?page=product_info&model_name=NP7280
The Sager is probably the better choice, from the budget I would guess you are working within. Why? Because not only is it a powerful gaming laptop at that price, but it can be upgraded like a desktop as time passes. You can add more ram (up to 24gb), you can replace the video card with a more powerful one... and even add a second video card for more power and performance. The unit will accept up to three hard drives... and the best part is that this laptop uses a desktop processor, offering you the widest range of performance processors out there... up to a 6 core/12 thread 3.46ghz processor.
So, it's a gaming laptop, and it will provide excellent performance at that base price of $2000. It can be upgraded as he wants more performance in the future, and you aren't paying a premium price for just the brand name, like you would for an Alienware.
It is always best to go with laptops that have lots of favorable reviews.
The following two 17" Gaming laptops have +4 star rating with +15 reviews each
and are in the price range of $1200 to $1600.
a. Asus - http://goo.gl/8zNQS
b. Toshiba - http://goo.gl/FoSQt
I would definitely suggest choosing one that has a lot of favorable reviews
In any case Asus has an advantage for gaming.
