  1. 4) Are there any brands that you really don't like?

    -Anything but a MAC

That's ok, its not in your price range anyway.

    7) How many hours of battery life do you need?

    -12-24 hours with chargeable battery

lol nice, i gave away all grammar just to laugh at the ridiculousness of that.

The only batteries that last that long are for far smaller and far less powerful laptops and can themselves cost several hundreds of dollars.

    14) RAM size?

-4-6g , good for all the music and games and etc.

Overkill much, 3gb maximum is all you need on a 34 bit operating system.

  2. the one that works...

and you have too much time on your hands

  3. popsrocket, it is a 32-bit OS, and your grammar doesn't make sense either.

And at $1,500 you can get an Apple, the price isn't an issue if you were to get the 13" aluminum. For the record I use both types of computers.

expect your laptop to last for at most 5 years. RAM at 4 GB makes sense (2 sticks of 2GB so it runs in dual channel).

Your battery life is unrealistic, even if you opt for a 12-cell option (on HP machines), best you can get is around 4-5 hours tops.

  4. I just found nice article on laptops and how to get them free of charge.
