No audio output device installed? I have an HP pavilion dv6000 entertainment notebook. I've had my laptop for a little more than a year. No matter what I've tried my audio has been coming and going for months. Under device manager there is no 'sound, video, and game controllers'. In Services I have Windows Audio and Windows Audio Endpoint Builder both of which I've tried disabling then enabling. When I try to download a driver from HP for my laptop I get the message 'Driver Installation Failed: Could not find the MEDIA device for this driver.' Whaaaaat the hell is going on with my laptop and what can I do to get rid of this deafening silence?
Most ambiguous computer website question ever!? OK, This is gonna be a real duzy of a question to answer, mainly because of the vague information i have to go on for you guys. So here it is: A few months ago I came across this really awesome website that was a custom computer builder, it was very "bright" lots of orange and blue textures and computer images everywhere (i know, not very helpful), anyway this site let you customize any computer system you wanted: pc's, laptops, notebooks, etc. It sold parts made by virtually everybody, and gave me a level of customization that I've never seen since, problem is I forgot to bookmark it, and so when the next day my computer ran it's scheduled CCleaner, i lost the address, and have never been able to find the site since, and believe me I've looked hard. It wasn't a company like alienware or pugetsystems - one that sold it's own product - just a customization one. Websites that I've tried and haven't been it include: digitalstormonline, cyberpower, gamepc, shopl2, sagernotebook, and avadirect, among other similar ones. The best way I could describe the site (in terms of how it looked) would be a combination of shopl2.com, newegg.com, and tigerdirect.com (again with a blue and orange color scheme). In terms of It's functionallity, it would be similar to any of the websites i listed in the above paragraph, and it's method of selection utilized both "bubbles" and drop-lines (as far as i can remember). It also offered up to 48GB of RAM for memory, something that I haven't found elsewhere, and so might be a distiguishing detail. Also, I did copy the systems I built using the site, one pc and one laptop, and the details I will list below in case any of the parts listed provide a clue or answer for someone. Finally I found the site as a link on another website (which I also cannot recall). So please help! I will be keeping this question open for as long as possible, so please, as many people as possible, please help me out! Thank You in Advance!
