What are the Top 5 gaming notebooks? I need to know which new gaming notebooks, at a price between 1.000 and 1.500 dollars, are the best. I prefer HP laptops.. but theyre HDX brand suddenly dissapeared from their site... so i need new options... does anyone know good gaming laptops? (i had looked into Sonys AW... but they also stopped selling those... so i would appreciate if anyone knows new options on gaming and entertainment notebooks...)
What are good specifications for a high end gaming notebook? I'm looking to get a high end gaming notebook for my 18th in a few weeks but my parents want me to give them some specifications, as far as DDR2, processors and video cards are concerned... etc. I'm looking at playing things like WOW and Crysis at top graphics, things like that I just dont want to over-do it too much... maybe just a little XD Please only answer i you know what your talking about. Thanks :)
Is the HP EliteBook 6930p Notebook good for gaming? I just bought one for 200$, and I see it has a 2.2-2.9ghz processor. I have a steam account and I am wondering is this lap top decent for gaming. Like Empire total war or Shogun 2 total war? I bought it on ebay cheap, it is 1,650$ or more. So the price is not a factor. I just want to know from people who know comps if this model is decent enough.
the new Mini notebook gaming? would the new mini notebook play top of the line pc games very well? i know there is different versions of the mini, but would the 199$ one do it? if not, what is the cheapest one that will? thank you
I NEED A GAMING LAB TOP HELP? http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Xplorer_X6-9100_Gaming_Notebook/ running at 640$ This labtop has- Will it Run World of Warcraft real well? 15.6" 1920x1080 Full HD • Intel® Core™ i7-2670QM Processor • 8GB (4GBx2) DDR3-1333 RAM • Intel UMA Integrated GFX Video • Intel HM65 Mainboard • 640GB 5400RPM SATA300 HDD • 8X DVD Rewritable Drive
Where to get a good gaming laptop/notebook for around $1,000? I know laptops arent for "gaming" However, i do not do most of my gaming on my computer anymore. Game i use my current desktop for: World of Warcraft Combat Arms and a few other older games. nothing new, all the new top-end games i get for my xbox 360 I was looking at buying a new computer, and i thought about getting a laptop instead of a desktop. So i can take my computer anywhere i go, and use my cell's blue tooth for Internet anywhere (i do this for my pocket pc) My budget is around $1,000, and was thinking about getting an alienware laptop. However, i know Alienware was bought out by Dell, and dell can be a bit.. pricey.. So any suggestions? Or would getting an alienware be good? I want to be able to play World of Warcraft good, more then good really, i want to be able to walk through dall without an ounce of lag, be able to run at good graphics settings and everything with my FPS topped off. My current computer is old.. and very much so out of date. Dell Dimension 3100, 1.5gb ram, 256MB Nvidea GeForce 8500GT video card (PCI, -not- PCI-E, and yes there is a PCI version for this card, do not try and argue with me like some other kid did please) Definently nothing remotley close to a gaming computer, but it runs what i have OKAY. Right now im taking a break from WoW.. as my current video card has actually decreased my performance from upgrading from an integrated one. My guess is because its a PCI, and has shitty bandwidth. Anyways.. i just want a great laptop for everyday Internet use, that can run WoW without any problems at all, for around $1,000 Can i do it? Need help buying a gaming notebook? after trying to get new video cards or RAM for my Dell inspiron 1545, I found out that I cant do that. Because I asked twice here and people explained this is impossible unless you have a notebook specfically built for that. So I looked around and one name came up on the top of google when I searched for "gaming laptops". Alienware. I've gone back there a couple of times and have decided to get the Alienware M17 notebook. I hear that they have very nice features such as thermal cooling, a fingerprint scanner, and the ability to update the video card. So this is what I have currently picked out- Memory: 4GB« Dual Channel DDR3 SO-DIMM at 1066MHz – 2 x 2048MB System Drive: Extreme Performance (RAID 0) - 500GB (250GB x 2) 7,200RPM (8MB Cache) w/ Free Fall Protection Operating System (Office software not included): Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium (64-bit Edition) with Service Pack 1 plus Free Windows 7 Upgrade Option Video/Graphics Card: Dual 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 3870 - CrossFireX™ Enabled! Processor: Intel® Core™2 Quad Q9000 2.00GHz (6MB Cache, 1066MHz FSB) This is going to cost me about $1,889. Yeah it makes me cringe, too. But my question is do I really need this? I need to know if I can tone it down to be a little lighter on my wallet. (Im getting my first job, minimum wage isnt exactly going to make this process quick and easy). What I would like is to be able to run Assassins Creed, Gears of War, and Prototype at max graphics and resolution while getting 30 fps. Let me know if there is a cheaper way to achieve this

Lap top, Notebook, & Netbook. What is the difference? We are looking into buying a I think lap top computer but know I am wondering about what the difference is between a lap top computer a notebook computer and a netbook computer. We would just want something that our desktop computer does only portable. We watch movies, play games, listen to music, do research and home work. We just don't need it for business. We want something with good memory and good speed and pretty good graphics. Oh ya we even use it for pictures and videos. Any information that any one could give me will be great. U could even give me your opinion on witch one you think is best for us. Please, nothing to expensive but good quality. Thank you all.

Okay, so, severe crashing is happening on my notebook while gaming... Please help.? I have a Gateway T-1625 notebook on which I frequently play World of Warcraft. The computer will randomly crash while I'm playing the game (only happens when I have the game on) and then will continuously crash when I try to turn on the system after the initial crash. I've talked to Gateway tech support about this issue, where they offered me plenty of troubleshooting tips. So, yesterday I got to the end of the list where I uninstalled and reinstalled Vista and all of my other programs, including WoW (hoping that if it was a problem with WoW, uninstalling and reinstalling would help). So I log onto the game today, ten minutes in, it goes back to the same crap, so at this point, I honestly do not know what to do, but I need to find a solution because it's probably really bad for my computer, and I've already paid in advance for this game, so I would like to be able to play and get my moneys worth. If this is any useful information as well - This problem started happening to my system after the most recent expansion (Wrath of the Lich King) came out and was applied to my system. That's all the information I can come up with on the top of my head, but if you maybe have ANY idea how to fix this, please help me out!!!

Is this laptop good for gaming? http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Xplorer_X6-9100_Gaming_Notebook/ to me, Everything looks good except for the graphics card, which is intel. I don't hear alot about that particular integrated one, so... Is it decent to say play, Vindictus, Minecraft,(on high) (mostly free mmorpgs found online.. etc) And maybe if not top notch, possibly recommend one a laptop in that price range? I also hear you can play Skyrim on an Intel 3000 HD
What software should i use to protect my hardware? Recently the #2 mmo released an expansion that burnt up many players PCs. My desk top gaming pc was fine but my gaming notebook burnt up a 9800m graphics card. The notebook card probably would have survived if it didn't have dust bunnies on the cooling fins so part of the blame is on me. Now i have installed a freeware CPU temperature monitoring program called "CPU Thermometer". Are there other things i should be monitoring ? I'm just talking about protecting hardware (i have malware, spyware and anti virus programs running - just interested in hardware right now). Thanks for the "Speedfan" tip..while i don't know enough to actually use it's options it does allow me to see my GPU (35*C), CPU (60*C), HDO (49*C) and all 4 Core Temps - around 33*C The Speedfan program seems to work better on my Vista home premium then windows 7 as far as labeling which temperatures its reading but by comparing them i was able to relabel the Windows 7 pc and now have a glorious little window showing all my pc's temps.

What top games can I play with these specificiations? Since it's winter break, I've decided to play some games, but I don't know what games to buy with my laptop. I recently bought Bioshock, but then I realized that the only thing that doesn't fit is my video card. I was wondering if there are any top games that would fit with these requirements on the bottom. I'm into racing games like NFSMW and also RPG like Fable. Specificiations: -Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit -Pentium Dual Core 2 Ghz -4 Gig Ram -1.5 Gig Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family That's basically all you need to know. I have enough hardrive to install it. Plus, I have a HP G60 Notebook. Everything is all right except for the video card since I need Nvdia or ATI. Don't tell me to buy a new laptop because I'm not made of money, but I still love to play games.

Can a laptop with 358mb shared memory video card run a game like oblivion? I really want to be able to play higher end games on my laptop, but not spend a ton of money on a top notch notebook. I am getting a toshiba tablet, with 358 mb shared memory video card. Will I be able to play games like oblivion?
Which gaming system should I get? I am a 9th grade student that is currently saving up a lot of money for a gaming device. The only problem is, I have three choices to choose from, and I don't know which one I want. The first option I have is the Playstation Vita. It's the new handheld device from Sony. It will only cost around 250.00$, and it's portable. I can also trade in my PSP Go while buying the Vita, which will lower the price of the handheld. If anyone has seen the type of games the Vita can play, then you know that it is a powerful device. The reason I wouldn't want to buy it is because I will probably have to wait a while for good games to come out for it. Also, I'm not sure if i want these other two options more. The Wii U. I've been interested in this thing ever since I saw it in my Game Informer Magazine. The console doesn't look that different than the Wii, but it is way more powerful. The graphics rival the PS3's and Xbox 360's (both of which I already own, so no one tell me to get those instead), and the new controller that resembles a tablet. I can even play the Wii U games on the controller itself! The big problem that I have with this console is its pricing. The Wii U might be 600.00$ when it is released, and I would have to wait a long time to get the money I need to buy that. Otherwise, the console looks promising, and I would love to buy this device. The last gaming device I might think of buying is the Lenovo Y570 gaming laptop. The price can be about 700.00$, which is more than even the Wii U, but I can play a huge diversity of games. Alot of my friends are starting to become PC gamers, and with this laptop I could join in the fun with them. On top of being able to play games on medium to high settings; it's a laptop. I can browse the internet at fast speeds, I can type up documents for school, etc. The reasons that I wouldn't want to get this device is because my mom & dad brought me a notebook laptop (specifically, an Acer Aspire 5532) back in 2009, and I'm not sure how they would react if I told them that I wanted to replace the laptop they gave me for the holidays (in case people ask me why I don't just use my notebook laptop for gaming, the laptop sucks at games. Sometimes even flash games are slow, and this laptop can also be slow at multitasking). Also, the price is huge, which is the obvious reason for why I wouldn't get it. However, the laptop looks great because of the features it offers. Again, no one tell me to get an Xbox 360 or PS3; I already have both of them.

Need help in finding a notebook for my nephew to play games on? I was wondering if you folks could help me find a good notebook my nephew could play games on. The reason I ask is recently my nephew had undergone the first in a series of procedure on his knees to correct some issues he had since he was young, as a result both of his legs are in plaster castes and he is stuck either in bed, or at the hospital for check-ups. He can't do much and can't sit at the computer he built that he plays games on. So The family decided to pull together some money and we planned on buying him a lap top to play games on for his birthday. In total we had managed to collect $1700 im not a computer whiz like my nephew so I was hoping you could make some recommendations. My niece gave me a list of some of the games he likes playing on his other computer so here they are: 1. Left 4 Dead 2. Guild Wars 3. Fallout 3 4. Supreme Commander 5. Command and Conquer 6. Star wars empire at war 7. Fear 2 8. Half life 2 Again I don't know much about computers but hopefully this list of games can give you some Ideas.

Checklist for custom gaming PC? Hey, i want to upgrade from my Notebook to a gaming PC. Just wondering how to go about this, I am not too bad with PCs and know a little about components and things, yet have never built my own PC so am not aware of how i would make sure that all of the components would work together and all fit on the same motherboard. Things like RAM and a Processor, cooling system (only ever used heat-sinks, don't know about other devices) Would anybody be able to give me a checklist for what i would need? I would like to build it and not have to spend as much as i would if i bought one pre-built. Does not have to be top-end stuff but something that can run all current PC games on high settings with a good frame rate. I know the sort of numbers i am after for things like Processor, RAM and HDD space, but it is making sure that everything is compatible. Thanks! I know the numbers i am looking for and the operating system that i would need, it was more like: Video card Processor RAM (and the sort of ram, i dont know the difference) motherboard IDE ribbon cables (not sure if these are used anymore, i have used a laptop for years now) Power supply This is the sort of info i want, a list that i can check things of when i obtain them, thanks!

Compare computer spec please tell me which one would be a better gaming laptop? http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/category/compare.asp I have been shopping around and I have decided these two are the cheapest, best running lap tops I could find for gaming and a back up for my desk top but I don't know which of the two I should pick.
