Acer notebook reviews/gaming on an Acer notebook? I don't own a computer but I might be able to start using my mom's old Acer notebook. If you have ever owned one, do you like it? Is it reliable, and what is it like? And I've recently gotten into Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, and if I decide that I have enough time to actually get around to playing it, I'd like to buy the version for PCs. I may decide it's not worth my money, but if it is, would it work fine on an Acet notebook? Thanks so much!! :)
When buying a gaming notebook do the specs say it all? http://www.mln.com.au/product/?itemID=3381 For my budget, the specs seem perfect but cant find any reviews on it and am wondering if specs really say everything about its performance? Any opinions on this computer? Anyone got a review thay can link me to? Thanks
are there ANY reviews of this particular Notebook? I ordered a eMachines 15.6" eME627-5279 Laptop PC with AMD Athlon 64 Processor, I was mainly wanting a portable computer that i can use around my house and at school and such and it seemed perfect, and it is only 335$ I have been looking but cannot find ANY reviews on google or even here, most people seem to shun it because its not ultra powerful. i dont plan on using it for gaming, but if I wanted to play a game on it, what might it be able to run decently? Xbox graphics games? (NOT the 360, i mean the original... games like Halo Combat Evolved, maybe Resident Evil 4, and WoW on low settings with decent framrate) I'm mainly wanting to hear from people who actually have the computer, and would like to see some videos of it too I would also like to know if the RAM (Memory) is upgradable? this Notebook originally comes with 2 gigs of RAM, but says it can go to 4 gigs. (the website says "2048MB 667MHz DDR2 dual-channel3 Expandable to 4GB") does that mean that after I get it, if i choose to I can upgrade the RAM? and how would i go about doing that?
Any good gaming notebooks that don't look completely ridiculous? I'm going to be heading off to college soon and the laptop I previously had bit the dust. Because the laptop needs to last several years, I'd like one that encompasses my educational commitments and recreational interests (music, video games, movies, etc.). I would love a laptop that can fluidly play games like Mass Effect 1 and 2 fluidly (they don't need to have "ULTRA REALISTIC MUSCLE SHADOWING!!", but I would at least like them to look decent an run smoothly). I would also like a screen size around the 15" mark, if possible. One of the laptops I've really been looking at is the Toshiba P500 Satellite. I know the screen is 18", but I've read several reviews that say it is good for a desktop replacement at college. On Toshiba's website, there is the option to cusomize the P500 with a "NVIDIA® GeForce GT 330M with 1GB GDDR3 discrete graphics card". Is this a good graphics card to play games with? I was also going to go ahead and get the i7 Processor as well. Do you have any other, possibly better, suggestions? The biggest thing I want to steer away from, though, is a notebook that looks completely ridiculous in a classroom or dormitory setting. None stupid paint jobs or dumb chassis designs most gaming notebooks have. I know these are a lot of questions, and I appreciate your answers!
Gaming Notebooks: Gateway FX vs. Asus? I want to buy a laptop for college and I was just at Best Buy, and one of the guys that works there showed me a new Asus gaming notebook that they just got today. I didn't memorize the model number, but the back of the laptop was white and said something like "world confederation of gamers". I really wanted the Gateway FX, which Best Buy still has on their website, but it has been discontinued in their stores. They don't have the new Asus laptop on their website yet, but the Asus that is on www.bestbuy.com has a lot of reviews that talk about how the wifi is unreliable. Does anyone know the model number for the new white Asus laptop that is at Best Buy? And is Asus really a good, reliable brand? I play games like CounterStrike: Source and I want a powerful laptop with a decent price. The FX had really good specs and it had a 17" display; the Asus at Best Buy is only 15.6" and I think the CPU isn't as good. Does anyone have good/bad stories about Asus brands? I am very unfamiliar with the company. Also, if I have problems or something breaks, I want to make sure I will be able to buy replacement parts or get live help fairly easily. I believe the Asus at Best Buy is the G51.

Are sager gaming notebooks good? I've been looking around and from what I've seen so far, Sager Notebooks are worth the money. Their gaming laptop has from what I seen on the internet, have great graphics cards. But I haven't seen any reviews for it, so if anyone has one, please leave a comment on how or if it is good. http://www.sagernotebook.com/index.php?page=category_browse&selected_cat=11 there is a link to the their gaming notebooks and for those who are techies, give me some enlightenment please :D
Looking for a good gaming laptop? hey, so im looking for a good gaming laptop to take to college next year... Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen 17" is aiight 4)Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like? Asus looks good, but im not picky.. just not dell--ive heard a lot of negative reviews of their laptops 5) What tasks will you be performing with the notebook? gaming, surfing, music and movies. 6) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places or leaving it on your desk? Taking it with me. durability is important 7) Will you be playing games on it; if so, which games? Wow (which is more processor dependant?) 8) How many hours of battery life do you need? More is better but once again.. im not too picky 9) Do you mind buying online without seeing the notebook in person? No, don't mind 10) What OS do you prefer? Windows 7 11) Would you prefer standard or widescreen? No preference 12) what screen resolutions would you prefer? the best i can get =p 13) Do you want a glossy/reflective screen or a matte/non-glossy screen? No preference 14) Are the notebook's looks and stylishness important to you? kinda-- why i like asus 15) When are you buying this laptop and how long do you want this laptop to last? Within the next three months; as long as possible 16) How much hard drive space do you want? as much as possible (320GB would be good) so all in all, I guess im trying to find a solid machine with a nice balance of processor speed, graphics card, and RAM. thanks again!
Buying a gaming laptop, is this too good, or are there others? I am consideing buying a gaming laptop (it has to be a laptop rather than a desktop unfortunately) and I was considering buying the Mesh Edge DX (http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/reviews/index.cfm?reviewid=3211946&pn=3) can anyone see a hidden catch/cost or are there any other notebooks as good as this for the same price out there (It has to be UK pounds) Thanks very much, A
should I be worried about leaving my notebook computer in my car? I live in texas...so you can imagine the weather. in high school and our campus went wireless, so since then, i've been taking notes on my notebook comp. There's two huge tests on wednesday and I have this big v-ball game to play in tuesday night . I was thinking about taking my notebook to school with me like I always do, but....I don't really wanna take it on the bus with me, so if I left it in the car, with the windows rolled down a little.....will that harm it? we leave at 4 and prolly will get back by atleast 9...maybe later I would print everything out, but both classes are doing a major review of everything and I don't want to miss anything so I need to be able to actually read my notes. . .
Would this be a good gaming/everyday use computer for the price? The Gateway NV53A88u Specs: Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium - 3.0GHz dual-core AMD Phenom™ II X2 - 4GB memory - 320GB storage - 15.6" display - ATI Radeon™ HD 4250 GPU - Wi-Fi - HDMI® - 5.72 lbs. Here's a link to the page: http://us.gateway.com/gw/en/US/content/model/LX.WSZ02.009 I have a budget of maybe $500 and wanted to know if this would be a good notebook for gaming. I plan on playing Star Wars the Old Republic and would like to also play next gen games (CoD, GTAIV, etc.). I couldn't find any user reviews for this laptop so I'm asking here. Would this be a good buy?
Samsung R540-JS08AU 15" Notebook review? Looking into buying this laptop. I want it to be fast and only gaming will be sims. I'm a student at school and will use word, powerpoint and internet etc. I want a decent webcam for skype and want to be able to watch movies and oither usual stuff.Link below. http://www.jbhifi.com.au/computers/samsung/15-inch-notebook-sku-62653/ Is that a good price? ($897) I've tried it out at the store and it's basically the only one i like because it is light and has a great touchbad. Thanks heaps :D
Is the ASUS P50IJ-X2 Notebook good? I'm looking for a new laptop as my old one has a cracked screen that isn't worth fixing. I want to buy it online, specifically here: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220693 as it's cheap and more than twice as good as my old one in terms of RAM and HDD space. It seems to address most of the problems of my old HP laptop - heat, horrible for gaming - although the reviews do say this isn't a laptop for gaming, the better RAM says it's okay, not sure about the video card. I'm wondering what 'gaming' is defined as. I don't want to play Crysis or even MW2 on this laptop, things like Warcraft III, WarRock, Combat Arms, etc, should run without any problems though. I've never bought online so I'd appreciate it if someone would read it through (I've read it multiple times but need a fresh eye) and tell me if this is worth it. I'd hate it if I bought it and then found out I could have got a better one for the same price. If anyone can help me out, I'd really appreciate it. I'm looking for: Good speed for browsing and in general Support for most modern programs (it's 64bit Windows 7, does this present a problem) Good for light gaming, nothing heavy Doesn't overheat Generally good battery life Doesn't matter about the touchpad, I have a wireless mouse Overall durable and good notebook. If anyone can suggest any other notebooks or verify that this one is a good choice, I'd be happy to give you Best Answer, etc, etc. Thanks! Nick: The specs say Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Is this in error? The reviews also reference the Windows 7 64-bit, so I think it must come with it. Thanks Jeff, I saw that article and it's part of the reason I was attracted to the ASUS laptop. I'm just wondering if this model is a good choice. Frank: Thanks for the heads-up, if it can't handle HL2 then I don't see how it can handle any of the newer games. However I'm unfamiliar with MSI and don't know how the computer you suggested fares since there are no user reviews on newegg for that notebook. I'd hate to be the first one to get one of those and have to figure out the problems myself. I've also looked at this one: http://www.amazon.ca/UL30Vt-X1-13-3-Inch-Laptop-Windows-Premium/dp/B002XZLURC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1274908929&sr=1-1 What do you think? The reviews seem even better and it seems good but seems to push how much I'm willing to pay (around 700 bucks) Ben - I'm looking at that one (although in black): http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Gateway+-+Laptop+with+AMD+Athlon%26%23153%3B+II+Dual-Core+Processor+-+NightSky+Black/9732722.p?id=1218162980323&skuId=9732722 and most of the basic specs impress me for the price, but how does it hold up in terms of gaming? Support? Longevity? Frank - thanks for the update, the one you suggested http://www.newegg.ca/Product/ProductReview.aspx?Item=N82E16834220694 looks great, but I'm worried that the battery life will die out quickly. Usually I only need it for 3-4 hours max, do you think this one can hold out for that long (not games or anything, just browsing for 3-4 hours)
Is an HP Pavillion dv6tqe good for gaming? I want to get this laptop. http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/load_configuration.do?oid=14185838&landing=notebooks&destination=review If I upgrade to the highest graphics card, could I play modern day games with no lag? (MW3,Battlefield,Skyrim,etc.)
GAMERS, Which gaming laptop do you own? I am planning to buy a gaming laptop that can play all the latest games. Not that expensive. Online reviews say dell xps, asus, alienware(i dont think it is available in india), and can all the latest games run on a macbook pro with multi operating system? If you play games frequently, then just till me which notebook you own and if any problems faced with. Also suggest videocards and other gaming requirements. Would it be possiable to custom out a laptop to make it better for gaming.....? http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/dell-latitude-d600-notebook/4507-3121_7-20906166.html?tag=mncol;rnav could i take that latoptop and replace the harddrive/graphics card/etc and custom it out so it would be great for gaming? if so what would i need ( i ask this cause someone said they will give it to me for very little money )
Is the Sony VAIO VGN-NW220 notebook a good laptop? My dad bought one for me, but I can't find any reviews. I don't know whether to tell him it's a good laptop or one that's not suited to my needs (I need a sturdy laptop that's going to last a while - I'm going into college next year - that I'm mostly going to use for casual web browsing, homework, music, etc... Nothing like hardcore gaming or anything). Help?
What is the best laptop for gaming? I have an Asus notebook and it runs my games reasonably well but the graphics aren't really out of this world and it overheats really easily when I play fullscreen. I'll be giving this one to a family member because I want to buy another one. Honestly, my old $200 Acer had better graphics than this, even though it was slower loading. I don't really care what the outside looks like, color and design wise (although the Alienware laptops look AWESOME) I just want a laptop that will make my games and movies that I watch look amazing (so a large screen) Also, the webcam on this Asus sucks sweet turtle drool. I wouldn't mind if the laptop had a good quality built in webcam. I would prefer not to spend more than $2,000 but don't let that price limit your suggestions, I could always finance it. I got mixed reviews on the alienware laptops, a lot of people reported problems with the hardware and poor technical support. So basically: -Good gaming graphics -Good quality webcam -$2,000 or less -Doesn't overheat easily I need help choosing, any suggestions?
What companies have the best laptop notebook? I am looking to purchase a new notebook PC, up to around $1400...I am most concerned of its light weight and video card; 13' - 16 ' preferably, as well as a nice look, no ugly HPs or Toshibas....I have owned 2 Sony VAIO notebooks that were ok, but what do you all suggest after purchasing or reviewing notebooks? I see a lot of notebooks that say they have small dedicated cards, but up to 512 MB and can also have a total video memory of 2280 MB! I assume this is from the system memory, but does this extra non-existent memory help out in game play? What do I need to look out for?
Are my laptop's specs good for gaming? What about my laptop's specs are bad and how can i change it. I think my graphics card should be changed though... anyway i wanna know if they are good for today games like GTA 4, Oblivion, Fallout 3. I also hope it will be good enough for next year when Fallout: New Vegas and the New oblivion comes out. Computer: Hp Pavillion dv9000 (Laptop) Operating system: Vista :( Processor: AMD Turion 64 X2 dual-core processor (2 GHz) Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 discrete graphics with 256MB dedicated DDR2 VRAM Ram: 3 gb This is the site where i got some of the specs...http://www.mobilewhack.com/reviews/hp_pavilion_dv9000_notebook.html Thanks. btw im not sure how to compare stuff like processors but ANYWAY just tell me if its good or not, and whats bad...

Laptop comparison for gaming? Purely for gaming performance, which choice is better? 1) AMD A6 with built in Radeon 6650m http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Asus-K53TA-SX026V-Fusion-Notebook.62849.0.html 2) Intel i5 with GT540m http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Asus-K53SV-SX131V-Notebook.56057.0.html AMD choice is roughly $150 - $200 cheaper than Intel + Nvidia choice. If Intel + Nvidia is better, is it worth the price premium, or is it only ever so slightly better that its not worth it? Thanks in advance.
can I up my Dell m1330 to a new graphics card if it has integrated graphics? yeah, I have a dell xps m1330 notebook and i believe it has integrated graphics. I looked at a lot of game requirements and reviews and they say the integrated graphics wont run the games well. Well, is there any way to say, change out my graphics card to get the better ones? If not, what can I do to my existing system to make my games run more somothly? thanks

Can you help me find a gaming laptop? I want to purchase a notebook computer that can run Call of Duty: Black Ops, Tropico 3, GTA IV, shogun II and other awesome pc games smoothly or max settings and a screen of 15.6. Huge laptops are not so portable. I really wanted to get an Acer as5745g-7671: http://www.amazon.com/Acer-AS5745G-7671-15-6-Inch-Laptop-Black/dp/B0041RSEVA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1301618791&sr=8-1 It seems nice and the reviews says it can run TF2 at max settings! :) So anything around the $700ish? I bought this Acer from Electronic Express, but they never shippied it! >:( They keep saying they'll send it later in the afternoon and the next day they say the same. :'( I'm worried. Any suggestions would help and specially if you have owned the laptop. Thanks. :) You guys are awesome. Acer as5745g was made by the Gods, sadly its SOLD OUT everywhere! :'( A lot of vendors have the item as "Deactivated" or "Discontinued." So that is why I am asking for a similar option, it appears acer is sold out and won't make any more. I bought the acer from electronicexpress.com on Sunday. :( I totally forgot! Yeah even though I purchased it, they have not shippied it since Sunday so I was thinking on canceling it and buying a real laptop. When I called the store to see if they had any acer left a lady said that they only had store display units left, but said that I had gotten the last new one. Shifty, real shifty. :\ So I'm thinking they may have lied and not even have a new one. :\ I'm really hoping that they do have my Acer and will honor my purchase. It said 24-48hrs to ship. Its been fourdays going on five. So I'm getting ready to cancel, get my money back and buy laptop! :) I totally forgot! Which laptop/notebook should I purchase? Okay. I'm not a college student, I'm not a buisness manager, just a kid with a bulky, oversized monitor and a noisy CPU. I'm entering a spelling bee this weekend, and the grand prize is 400 dollars. Not trying to boast here, but I'm a pretty good, fast speller. If I win the 400, I can pay for a Dell Inspiron, which I have read fabulous reviews on. Hardly any cons, and I don't really mind if the notebook is bulky. (Anything to replace my monitor, you should see!) Anyway, if I get 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place, I move onto another spelling bee, where the grand prize is 1000 dollars. Even if I get neither of these prizes, I'd still like to save up for a new notebook. I'm not a gamer, and I'm fine with Vista. I just have a few questions. My computer now has MS Word '03, will I be able to have a typing program on Vista? And does Vista have Paint? I am very new with Vista, and it's a little confusing to me.(: Please enlighten me in your answer. Thank you! (My budget is 800 dollars.)

Which Dell XPS laptop (Dell or Alienware) should I get and what features should I include when customizing? I'm looking for a laptop and I narrowed it down to a Dell XPS gaming notebook. There are two different computers to choose from after I clicked the link, Alienware Area-51 m 15x and the Dell XPS M1730 laptop. The Alienware is cheaper but I have not heard as many good reviews as the Dell. Please help me chose which one and customize it. Price is a factor, but not a big one. Do Alienware notebooks come with any application software? I am in the market for a notebook and I wish to know if Alienware is a good choice for me. I do not intend to use it for gaming, but I like high end (performance) notebooks. I do not seem to find any cheaper options for the same specs under other brands like HP, Toshiba etc. So do they only come with the operating system? I have read reviews and stuff, now I want to hear from experience! Don't get me wrong, any other advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Which of these two notebooks is better for gaming? Asus G71GX-RX05 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9366615&type=product&id=1218092150740 or HP- dv7-2185dx http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9375865&type=product&id=1218094582785#reviews Budget- around $1000, give or take a few hundred. Personally, I think the HP has a better CPU, whereas the Asus has a better graphics card.
I am trying to convince my parents to buy me a macbook pro i wrote this list well what do you think? 20 Reasons Why I Need a Macbook Pro 1.Macs are more reliable. In the past 8 months my computer has had to have the Os re-installed 4 times, 3 for hard drive problems and 1 for a virus. Mac’s are very reliable machines according to consumer reports, and multiple reviews online such as C-net, Notebook reviews, Consumer reports, ECT. Mark the Mac book pro as a very good Computer, better than a PC. 2.Macs Run windows to! On a Macbook Pro I Can Run Windows as well as Mac OS X through Boot Camp. So in way I will get the best of both worlds I can run Mac OS X for internet and video editing and music editing, then I can run Windows Vista for Games, Office, and Windows Exclusive programs I might need. 3.I Know How to Use Macs. I can use a Mac much better than a PC. I was taught how to use them in elementary school. Right down to how to use all of the Mac office programs. 4.No Viruses! On Macs there are no viruses, which means that I can /surf the web with confidence my computer is safe. 5.If my Mac breaks no problem! With Apple care I can call Apple and my problem is fixed either by an apple expert helping me through it our by sending my computer to apple. Were as with a PC if it breaks Basically your screwed, first you have to find the problem, then call support then figure out how to fix it, then try do to do all of the things that you have no clue on how to do. No no no no with a Mac I call apple and since Macs are so simple with a description of my problem I have an answer. 6.A Mac Will Help Me in School. Last year I had 12 late or missing essays and research assignments because my computer was broken. On a Mac if it breaks I just send it to apple and in a few days I get a new computer for free. But it takes weeks to fix a PC. 7.They Last Forever!!!!!! On a Mac the Requirements to run software are very slim, the average life of a Mac is about 5 years compared to the 2 year life of a PC. 8.I can Use a Mac for Everything!!! Since Macs run Windows and Mac OS X there is no such thing as incompatible software. 9.You May Say at This Point “I am Convinced you need a Mac, But why a Macbook pro?” Well a Macbook pro is a notebook, which means I can use it anywhere. For example what if I have a huge report I have to do over the weekend but we are going to grandmas house, well I could take my Macbook pro and I could work on a report, and study for a test with a preloaded study guide. 10.I will get A’s on my report Card. With a Mac there are no viruses and they are notably reliable so there is no excuse of my computer had a virus, or the “it was broken” excuse. A Macbook pro will help me excel in school and in extra activities I do such as movie making and video games and there is guitar learning software. 11.Since I will be using the computer I should get the computer I want to use. What you guys have to remember is that the next computer I’m going to get will be my computer, so in that case I should get the computer that I want to use, not the one that you want me to use. 12.If I get the Macbook pro I will have enough space on my desk to do other things. Such as homework, or work. Right now my desk is too crowded with CRT monitors to do work; well a laptop would take care of that. 13.There is a brand new update. An update came out on June 5th which means that I will get the most advanced technology now. 14.A Macbook pro is the most powerful notebook and most powerful Mac other than the Mac pro. 15.I have two lives. If I came home from school one day and I found my computer broken my dell, I would have to wait for dad to fix it. But with a Mac I can run Windows and OS X so if OS X dies I can use windows because it uses a separate portion of the hard drive, and vise versa. 16.Apple is the only company that makes the software and the hardware. On a Mac the software is made to use all of the advantages of the hardware. Were as on a PC the software is made to be used on 100 companies computers 17.All the programs I use and want to use are on Mac. I use iTunes and that’s a program designed for Mac. I cant use iMovie, or Logic. 18.A new OS is about to be released. Leopard is about to be released, with many more features than tiger. 19.I can use .mac. .mac is a net based e-mail and web page publisher and internet storage. With many other features. 20.Macs just work. Macs are so simple a caveman can use them, they work so well, and they are so easy to use that you can use it to learn languages, or to learn how to play an instrument. They just work, were as with a PC needs to have lessons to learn how to use it. With a Macbook pro I can just do everything and have everything work. Reasons 1-20 are the reasons I need a Macbook pro. oh yeah and btw im not asking people about the classic mac or windows im asking if my list is good, dont answer if your gonna say something such as "buy a pc instead"
Which new laptop should I buy on Boxing Day? It's difficult to see all my options, so I'm asking the community! Which laptop should I buy on Boxing Day? The "MSI M6275-419US Notebook" is roughly what I am looking for in a PC. Here's the link : http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=5536346&csid=ITD&body=MAIN I found the following checklist on a notebookreview forum, General Questions: 1) What is your budget? Maximum of $1000 with taxes included. Less is always better, and on Boxing Day it should be reasonably less. 2) What size notebook would you prefer? 15" - 16" is fine. I'm not really too particular. 3) Please select your country's flag as a post icon and tell us what country are you buying this in. Canada 4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like? I'm not picky. As long as it generally has good reviews. 5) What tasks will you be performing with the notebook? Gaming (so a dedicated video card is nice. It would be cool to be able to play games like Left For Dead 2, but that's hard to find for under $1000 I think), MS Word, Streaming 6) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places or leaving it on your desk? Occasionally, but that's not a big deal. 7) Will you be playing games on it; if so, which games? Left For Dead 2, Warcraft 3, newer games if possible 8) How many hours of battery life do you need? Minimal; this is not that important to me. 9) Do you mind buying online without seeing the notebook in person? I buy online often. 10) What OS do you prefer? Windows (XP or Vista), Mac OS, Linux, etc. Windows 7 preferred ! Screen Specifics: 11) Would you prefer standard or widescreen? Widescreen 12) From the choices below, what screen resolutions would you prefer? Higher resolution is better, right? Widescreen preferred 13) Do you want a glossy/reflective screen or a matte/non-glossy screen? Matte/non-glossy preferred, but it doesn't really matter. Build Quality and Design: 14) Are the notebook's looks and stylishness important to you? No 15) When are you buying this laptop and how long do you want this laptop to last? During boxing day sales, and it should last for 3 years minimum Notebook Components 16) How much hard drive space do you want; 40GB to 200GB? More is better 17) Do you need an optical drive? If yes, a DVD, Blu-Ray or HD-DVD drive? DVD burner Please state any additional features you need. It's also helpful if you can indicate how experienced you are with computers. If you're a novice and don't know how to answer some questions just say so! 2 gb would be nice, but I can upgrade later if itcosts too much to include it. RAM is often cheaper when you pout it in yourself ! I know more than most of my friends about computers, and know most of the lingo, but can't be considered a guru. I have built a few desktop pcs in the past. Thanks again! I am looking forward to the recommendations! Happy Holidays, eh!
PLEASE HELP ON MY PURCHASE OF NOTEBOOK/LAPTOP!? Well, im going to be buying a laptop in a couple of days and i already had my mind set on a compaq presario for AU$868 (I'm Australian) and it looks so nice, and from all the reviews i've watched and the research i've done, it seems perfect. However, i stumbled accross a great deal on a MSI GX720 Gaming Laptop for only a bit more of a price. Now after researching this laptop, it's for REALLY hardcore gamers and is very powerful. Now, i'm not a hardcore gamer at all, i'll buy a game for pc every now and then ( I only buy games for my ps3), but will only be played here and there. I'm buying a laptop for normal everyday computer use eg. internet, assignments, and other things here and there, but i would also love to have a laptop with the capability to play games. So my questions is, is it worth buying the MSI, as in i'm really keen on it, but with its crazy and powerful inputs such as huge ram and processor, would that cause any problems? So basically my question is again, which laptop should I go for? Thank you so much!
