What're some of the cheapest gaming computers/notebooks I could buy to play Civilization 5? I'm looking for some cheap computing systems that would allow me to play Civ 5 without slowing down or glitching. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks! Some "cheap computers that are suited for gaming"? I'm sure the original meaning isn't lost. By the way you'd type that sentence "AN oxymoron", and "Meaning it doesn't go together". Thanks for providing an answer that in no way addresses my question.

Best Gaming Notebooks? I am looking to purchase a new gaming notebook. I just bought an Alienware notebook and after 2 weeks of hell with them and their computer I sent it back for a full refund. I am looking for something with at least Core 2 Duo T7200 and Nvidia Go 7600. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Any good gaming notebooks that don't look completely ridiculous? I'm going to be heading off to college soon and the laptop I previously had bit the dust. Because the laptop needs to last several years, I'd like one that encompasses my educational commitments and recreational interests (music, video games, movies, etc.). I would love a laptop that can fluidly play games like Mass Effect 1 and 2 fluidly (they don't need to have "ULTRA REALISTIC MUSCLE SHADOWING!!", but I would at least like them to look decent an run smoothly). I would also like a screen size around the 15" mark, if possible. One of the laptops I've really been looking at is the Toshiba P500 Satellite. I know the screen is 18", but I've read several reviews that say it is good for a desktop replacement at college. On Toshiba's website, there is the option to cusomize the P500 with a "NVIDIA® GeForce GT 330M with 1GB GDDR3 discrete graphics card". Is this a good graphics card to play games with? I was also going to go ahead and get the i7 Processor as well. Do you have any other, possibly better, suggestions? The biggest thing I want to steer away from, though, is a notebook that looks completely ridiculous in a classroom or dormitory setting. None stupid paint jobs or dumb chassis designs most gaming notebooks have. I know these are a lot of questions, and I appreciate your answers!
What are good specifications for a high end gaming notebook? I'm looking to get a high end gaming notebook for my 18th in a few weeks but my parents want me to give them some specifications, as far as DDR2, processors and video cards are concerned... etc. I'm looking at playing things like WOW and Crysis at top graphics, things like that I just dont want to over-do it too much... maybe just a little XD Please only answer i you know what your talking about. Thanks :)
Gaming Notebooks: Gateway FX vs. Asus? I want to buy a laptop for college and I was just at Best Buy, and one of the guys that works there showed me a new Asus gaming notebook that they just got today. I didn't memorize the model number, but the back of the laptop was white and said something like "world confederation of gamers". I really wanted the Gateway FX, which Best Buy still has on their website, but it has been discontinued in their stores. They don't have the new Asus laptop on their website yet, but the Asus that is on www.bestbuy.com has a lot of reviews that talk about how the wifi is unreliable. Does anyone know the model number for the new white Asus laptop that is at Best Buy? And is Asus really a good, reliable brand? I play games like CounterStrike: Source and I want a powerful laptop with a decent price. The FX had really good specs and it had a 17" display; the Asus at Best Buy is only 15.6" and I think the CPU isn't as good. Does anyone have good/bad stories about Asus brands? I am very unfamiliar with the company. Also, if I have problems or something breaks, I want to make sure I will be able to buy replacement parts or get live help fairly easily. I believe the Asus at Best Buy is the G51.
Are there any sites offering gaming laptops? I want a gaming laptop/notebook shipped to India. Can somebody tell me a site where they offer customizable gaming notebooks and which can be shipped to India? Not asking any relative to bring it to India.
What is the best gaming notebook/laptop or what specs make it great? I'll start by giving you a list of what I've found regarding specs and then the most notebook (and accessories) for the best price and then can you tell me what you think? 100+ GB Hard Drive 2+ GB RAM 512+ MB video card (which brand is best?) 2+ GHZ processor I've found HP, IBM Lenovo, Compaq, and Fujitsu to be the most notebook for the best price. What do you think? The game I play the most is World of Warcraft. My husband and I have become such complete WoW nerds that we must have a spare computer and get a new account for me (transferring my characters of course). We already have a desktop, that's why I'm looking for a laptop. This is also so we can play on vacation... except for our anniversary, I have to put my foot down there ;-)
Good Gaming Notebooks...? Would like some advise please, Toshiba Satellite T115D-S110RD has the ATI® Radeon™ HD 3200 which is what I would need to play City of Heroes. Would like to play City of Heroes more then anything and I would like a small laptop/ notebook I could easily carry with me that would allow me to do this.

Why don't notebooks come with Core 2 Extreme processors ? Only gaming notebooks have a Core 2 Extreme. Toshiba X305 has got it. Dell's XPS has got it. Why not all new laptops ? Wouldn't it be better than Core 2 Duo ? Even if the Laptop is used for applications like Photoshop / Video Editing and Music Productions that use heavy VSTi's and samples.
